PowerFlex Fault F033 — Auto/Manual Fault
What This Fault Means
F033 occurs when the drive's command source or speed reference source changes unexpectedly, or a conflict exists between the configured source and the actual input state.
Common Causes
- Speed reference source parameter changed while drive is running
- Communication loss to PLC providing speed reference over EtherNet/IP
- Conflicting start commands from multiple sources (keypad + network)
- Incorrect parameter configuration after a parameter reset
Recommended Fix
- Check Parameter 545 (Start Inhibit) — clear any active inhibit.
- Verify the command source (P046) and speed reference (P047) match your intended control method.
- If using network control, confirm EtherNet/IP adapter is connected and the PLC is writing to the correct assembly instance.
- If the fault appeared after a parameter reset, reconfigure the drive from your saved parameter file.
