PowerFlex Fault F002 — Auxiliary Input
What This Fault Means
F002 indicates an external fault signal was received on one of the drive's digital inputs configured as a fault input. This is typically wired to an external safety device or overload relay.
Common Causes
- External overload relay tripped
- E-stop circuit opened
- Safety interlock opened (guard door, pull cord, light curtain)
- Wiring fault on the digital input circuit
Recommended Fix
- Identify which digital input is configured as the auxiliary fault (check Parameter 361–366 on PF525).
- Trace the wiring back to the external device.
- Reset the external device (overload relay, E-stop) if the condition has cleared.
- Verify 24VDC is present at the digital input when the external device is in the run-permissive state.
- If the wiring checks out and the external device is healthy, check for a loose terminal or broken wire.
