PowerFlex Fault F013 — Ground Fault

Fault Code PowerFlex 525 / 753 / 755 Allen-Bradley

What This Fault Means

F013 means the drive detected current leaking to ground on the output side. This protects personnel and equipment from insulation breakdown.

Common Causes

Recommended Fix

  1. Disconnect motor cables at the drive and megger each phase to ground (expect >1 MΩ).
  2. If megger fails, isolate whether the fault is in the cable run or the motor by testing each separately.
  3. Inspect the motor junction box for moisture or contamination.
  4. For cable runs over 100m, install an output reactor (dV/dt filter) at the drive output.
  5. Repair or replace the faulted cable/motor.
