FANUC Alarm 410 — Servo Alarm: Excess Error (Deceleration)
What This Fault Means
Alarm 410 (SV0410) occurs when the position error exceeds the threshold during deceleration or stop. The axis failed to reach its commanded position within the allowed following error window.
Common Causes
- Mechanical resistance or obstruction during deceleration
- Servo motor or amplifier failure
- Encoder feedback noise or intermittent signal loss
- Deceleration parameter mismatch with actual axis dynamics
Recommended Fix
- Check for physical obstruction or excessive friction on the axis.
- Swap the encoder cable with a known-good one to rule out signal noise.
- Monitor the servo amplifier alarm display for additional codes.
- Verify the in-position width (parameter 1826) and servo loop gain (parameter 1825).
- If mechanical and electrical checks pass, back up parameters and reload servo configuration.
